Community Support Manager (Broome County) Catholic Charities Tompkins/Tioga has a job opening for a Community Support Manager who will provide support and supervision to the Direct Support Professionals in the Community Habilitation and Employment Program and assist with Individual Support Services.

Schedule:
Full Time, Monday - Friday.

SPECIFIC DUTIES:
To provide direct services to individuals under OPWDD.
Recruit, screen, interview, and complete DSP application process for prospective staff.
Provide supervision to DSP including scheduling and monitoring shifts and completing performance evaluations.
Coordinate time-off authorizations and verification of time sheets for all staff Monitor DSP mileage.
Promote and encourage team building within the worksite assigned.
Meet, semi-annually and as needed, with individuals, providers, care managers, and other support service providers to assure the individual's needs are being met in accordance with their life plans.
Develops Staff Action Plans for individuals in community supports program.
Respond with appropriate actions to all crisis situations and medical emergencies.
Provide on-call availability for staff and individuals.
Maintain continuity of individual's records.
Provide initial and ongoing training needs for DSP's.
Arrange for coverage and/or provide direct services on a limited basis to individuals in the DSP's absence.
Assure compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations and agency policies and participate in audits.
Complete all paperwork, as assigned.
Network with other agencies providing similar services.
Attend mandatory training.
Ensure appropriate training is provided to each employee supervised and submits documentation of training to HR.
Provide Program Director - Community Based Services with updates of all program operations, periodically and upon request.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Associate degree in human services or related field Or High School Diploma or GED with 1 year working with people with disabilities.
Previous experience in a supervisor role, and experience in OPWDD working in the field with individuals.
Valid NYS Driver's License and continuous use of a reliable, registered and insured vehicle.

Our hiring process and timeline:
